There's no higher or more scenic way to skydive in Nepal than stepping out of a helicopter 13,000 feet above Pokhara. Below stretches the glacier-fed blue of Phewa Lake and the terraced Pokhara Valley, while the entire skyline fills with the Annapurna Himalaya and the sacred spike of Machhapuchhre. This is Nepal's original tandem skydiving experience, and it remains the benchmark every other operator in Pokhara is measured against.

The day begins with a hotel pickup in Lakeside, followed by registration and a full safety briefing at the dropzone near Sarangkot. A certified tandem instructor fits your harness and jumpsuit and walks you through the exit, free-fall and landing procedure before the helicopter lifts you to altitude — itself a scenic flight over the Annapurna foothills. What follows is roughly 30–45 seconds of genuine free-fall, then a calm 5–7 minute parachute glide back to the dropzone.

This jump suits complete first-timers as much as seasoned adrenaline chasers, since every jump is tandem — you're harnessed to a certified instructor throughout. No prior skydiving experience, trekking fitness or climbing background is needed, just meeting the age, weight and medical requirements.

Your Day at the Dropzone

1. Morning Pickup. Guests are collected from their Pokhara Lakeside hotel by private vehicle and driven to the skydiving office for registration, before a short transfer to the Pame Dropzone near Sarangkot. Guests arriving independently can head straight to the dropzone and join the schedule from check-in.
2. Registration & Medical Check. At the dropzone, we complete booking paperwork and go through a brief medical and weight check, since the tandem harness is fitted and calibrated to each jumper's body mass.
3. Safety Briefing & Gear-Up. A certified tandem instructor walks us through the full jump procedure — exit position, free-fall body posture, and landing — before fitting the harness, jumpsuit, helmet and goggles. Closed-toe shoes and fitted clothing are required at this stage; loose or flowing gear isn't permitted.
4. The Helicopter Ascent. We board the helicopter and climb steadily to the 13,000ft jump altitude, taking in a rapidly widening view of the Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre and Phewa Lake as Pokhara Valley shrinks below.
5. The Jump. At altitude, harnessed tandem to the instructor, we step out into roughly 30–45 seconds of free-fall before the parachute deploys. The canopy glide down — around 5–7 minutes — gives time to actually take in the mountains, the lake and the valley before a smooth, instructor-controlled landing back at the dropzone.
6. Wind-Down & Departure. After landing, we collect any photo/video package ordered and are transferred back to our Pokhara Lakeside hotel.
