Kushma Bungee Jump Nepal: World's 2nd Highest at 228m

Few places on earth let you free-fall 228 metres into a Himalayan gorge before breakfast. At The Cliff in Kushma, Parbat, that's exactly what's on offer — Nepal's highest bungee jump and the world's second-highest bridge-based bungee, launched from a 520-metre suspension bridge suspended over the roaring Kaligandaki River.

The experience starts in Pokhara, where a short 60km drive winds through the hills toward Kushma. On arrival, a full safety briefing, medical check, and weight-based harness calibration come before anyone steps onto the platform. Then it's just you, the gorge below, and eight seconds of pure free-fall before the cord catches and the rebound begins.

Reaching The Cliff resort in Kushma, we check in at reception, complete the booking paperwork, and go through a medical screening — blood pressure, general health history, and weight measurement, since the bungee cord is calibrated to each jumper's body mass. The crew then walks us through the full jump procedure, harness fitting, and hand signals before we're cleared to head out onto the 520-metre suspension bridge.

At the platform, one by one, jumpers step to the edge of the bridge over the Kaligandaki River. The countdown, the release, and then 228 metres of free-fall toward the gorge below before the cord tightens and the rebound begins — smooth thanks to the earlier weight calibration. Afterward, we regroup near the Sky Café for a snack or meal with a view of the gorge and the next round of jumpers, before boarding the vehicle back to Pokhara.
